When you install Heredis software, it becomes part of your computer's environment. In fact, each component installed on your computer contributes to the creation of an "ecosystem".
To ensure that the software runs smoothly, it is important to check that the environment corresponds to the required configurations. These are indicated in the product data sheet, which you should consult before purchasing the software.
There are two types of recommendation: requirements and recommended configuration.
Requirements are indispensable if the software is to function correctly. The recommended configuration is an indication of the configuration in which the software runs most smoothly.
The requirements for running Heredis :
The Heredis software must be installed on an Apple-supported and compatible version of macOS.

Please note: virtual machines are not native operating systems. No technical support will be provided if Heredis software is installed on a virtual machine.
Heredis software must be installed on a computer with at least 4 GB of RAM.
The Windows account on which you are installing the software must be a local account, and you must be the administrator of this account.
The software must be installed on your computer's C drive. Your computer must have 600 MB of free space for installation.
Your computer screen must be at least 11" (1366x768) and the display resolution must be 100% to ensure correct display of windows and buttons.
An Internet connection is required to activate your license and access some features of the software.
The genealogy files you are working on must be local to your computer (i.e. not stored in a cloud or on removable disk). It is your responsibility to ensure that no cloud synchronization occurs while your files are open in Heredis.
These requirements are essential for the normal use of the software. No support will be provided if they are not met.
The recommended configuration:
We recommend a minimum of 8 GB RAM for smoother use of the software, particularly with large files and/or when the computer's processor is busy with other tasks.
We recommend that your computer be equipped with an SSD hard disk for greater performance.
We recommend Microsoft Office Suite 2019, Microsoft Office Suite 360 or LibreOffice (current version) for editing documents.
Many of the software's features rely on the Internet: the quality of your Internet connection can have a major impact on the software's performance.
