2. Install software
Click on the executor to start the software installation. Most web browsers display downloads. If yours doesn't, please go to the Download folder in your File manager.
The End-User License Agreement window appears. This is the contract governing use of the software.

The installation process will now begin.
3. Activate the license
Click on Login to activate your license:
4. Convert the files to the new format
You can convert any file from a previous version of Heredis for Windows software, as well as files from a version of Heredis for Mac software later than Heredis 2015.
If your file comes from a version of Heredis for Mac prior to Heredis 2015, please let us know by replying to this e-mail. We will then provide you with the appropriate instructions.
To convert your file, open Heredis on its home page. If you see your file in the list of recent files, simply click on it to convert it .
If your file doesn't appear in recent files, you can easily find it.
Click on Search file on hard drive :
Let the search run. The software will scan your computer to find all the genealogy files it can open, so this may take a few minutes.
Once the search is complete, use the file name and last modified date columns to identify the file you wish to convert:
Select the file to be converted and click on Open.
The Heredis software will then start the conversion and open it once it is complete.
5. Uninstall your old version of Heredis (optional)
If you have just purchased a new version of Heredis to replace a previous version, we advise you to uninstall the old version.
Your genealogy files are stored locally, i.e. in the memory of your computer. Uninstalling Heredis software will never delete your genealogy data.
To remove the Heredis software, go to Windows settings:
Go to Apps, then to Installed Apps :
Scroll down to your previous version of Heredis, or use the search bar. Click on the menu and select Uninstall :
