This article only applies when you wish to update a genealogy that has already been shared and whose target machine is a Windows or Mac machine.

Sharing a file on your local network
In file update mode, you need to identify the target machine (which does not have up-to-date genealogical data).
Here's how to share in "Data update mode":

2) Open the genealogy to be shared on the local network :
We're talking about the most up-to-date genealogy, whatever the machine.
Do nothing but open the genealogy and stay on the family nucleus.
3) Then open the genealogy to be updated on the target machine:
If everything is OK, a pop-up window like the one below should appear automatically:
WARNING: Please wait a moment for the update popup window to appear.
This may take some time, depending on the speed of your Internet network
To Windows (click here to show):
To macOS (click here to show):
Click on "Receive" to confirm the data update.
Another pop-up window will appear confirming that the transfer was successful.
